Welcome to the homepage of Molecular Population
Genetics Lab, Trinity College Dublin!
We are based in the Smurfit
Institute of Genetics, which is located adjacent to the Lincoln
Place Gate of Trinity College Dublin.
Headed by Prof Dan Bradley, there are currently 2 postdoctoral
fellows and 6 postgraduate students in our lab.
Our projects include detection of selection in bovine populations, elucidation of genes involved in tuberculosis in cattle,
ancient DNA studies to understand the relationship of phylogeography and domestication of cattles. We also investigate the genetics of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS),a motor neuron disease, within the Irish population.
